Piedmont settles with SEIU workman groups

The City of Piedmont has staid a two-year agreement with Service Employees International Union Local 1021, and a negotiate units concluded to several concessions.

Members of a kinship — recreation/child care, confidential, professional, technical and supervisory employees — will get no income increases. They concluded to a second tier retirement devise for new employees, who would get 2 percent during age 60 instead of a stream 3 percent during 60. That means new employees on retirement will acquire 2 percent of their income for any year worked.

Beginning Jul 1, employees will minister $50 semimonthly to their retirement medical benefits.
