Dentistry students assistance low income children learn dental hygiene

Thanks to students and expertise from a West Virginia University School of Dentistry, some farming West Virginia children will have healthy, lifelong smiles.

Camp Horseshoe’s Youth Opportunity Camp helps low-income children ages 7-12 build amicable skills, benefit certainty and learn healthy lifestyles.

Inspired by a program, sophomore dentistry tyro Sawan Prabhu started Project Lucky Smile, that worked with Camp Horseshoe to teach children about dental hygiene and good nutrition.

“I always desired doing village outreach, and this stay is a ideal place,” she said.
