Brighton dentist ends daily drill

DENTISTRY is a good career that Patrick Field unequivocally sank his teeth into.

But now, after 45 years of fettling fangs and stealing molars, a Brighton dentist is job it a day.

Dr Field pronounced so many things had altered during his half century in Martin St, though a faces – and mouths – stayed a same.

“The thing we will skip many is my patients,” Dr Field said.

“There are many friendships we have done over a time. I’ve seen them grow from children, to parents, and infrequently to grandparents too.”

The 68-year-old has seen many transformations during his career.
