Thousands attend wake for slain San Diego military officer

Jeremy Henwood, who survived 3 fight tours as a Marine though was mortally bleeding during a slight unit as a San Diego military officer, was remembered Friday as a “true soldier who stood in harm’s way.”

Police Capt. Lawrence McKinney, commander of a mid-city multiplication where Henwood served, told 3,500 people fabricated during a Rock Church that Henwood “went resolutely into harm’s way, meaningful full good that he competence not come behind someday.”

McKinney urged a throng to remember Henwood’s bravery and loyalty to open use as a Marine and a military officer, rather than “the villainous act
