Arkansas health officials on Tuesday endorsed blood tests for about 100 immature patients of a dentist who sedated them with drugs presumably infested with spreading material.

Screenings for dozens of patients of a now defunct Dr. William Jarrod Stewart will embody tests for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV and syphilis, state epidemiologist Dr. Dirk Haselow said.

“We have no reason to trust that anyone is during risk of a sold illness,” Haselow said. “We are only notifying people since this conditions is rarely surprising and we don’t know what we don’t know.”
