New York Cosmetic Dentist Completes Extreme Smile Makeover

NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwire -03/27/12)- Dr. Michael Kosdon, a New York cosmetic dentist, recently completed an extreme smile makeover for a female patient at his cosmetic dentistry practice. After a three-step process and two office visits, Dr. Kosdon says this Westchester, NY patient has dramatically improved her appearance and regained the confidence she needed to show off her smile. “The patient was really unhappy and insecure about the appearance of her teeth. She explained that she was always very self-conscious with the discoloration and was embarrassed to smile.”

According to Dr. Kosdon, this patient wanted a permanent solution for her dark and discolored teeth. At his New York cosmetic dentistry practice, Dr. Kosdon met with his patient for the initial consultation and discussed her smile makeover goals. After a number of attempts with both at-home and in-office teeth whitening products with other practices, the patient says it came down to her desire for a brand new smile that would increase her confidence and self-esteem.

Dr. Kosdon recommended a combination of porcelain veneers for her upper and lower front teeth, as well as EMAX crowns on her posterior molars. The patient was presented with a digital image of what she could expect following the treatment plan Dr. Kosdon had proposed, which included a full set of X-rays to ensure her teeth were healthy and could support the smile makeover process. The treatment was administered in three stages over two office visits, as follows:

  • Diagnostic wax-up: simulation of her new smile with temporary replacement teeth
  • Preparation appointment: patient’s teeth are reshaped to make room for the veneers
  • Smile Reveal: temporaries are removed, teeth are disinfected, and porcelain veneers are permanently cemented

Now that the patient’s procedure is complete, Dr. Kosdon says he is thoroughly pleased with the results. “This was an extreme makeover. The patient’s appearance dramatically improved after undergoing the cosmetic dentistry procedure. She instantly looks 10-15 years younger and isn’t afraid to show off her smile anymore.” The patient adds that Dr. Kosdon helped her achieve an important and long-awaited goal: “Important because now I can smile without feeling embarrassed, and long-awaited because I searched long and hard for a dentist in whom I felt a strong sense of trust and confidence.”

The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Project (LAWTP) Now Sponsored by Local, Prominent Medical Professionals

Seven Beverly Hills medical professionals offer sponsorship to the only non-profit organization in the LA area specifically dedicated to creating, supporting, and promoting performing arts opportunities for women – The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Project (LAWTP).

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2012

“It is such a wonderful gift and we are so appreciative to make this connection,” says Dee Jae Cox, the president and co-founder of The Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Project (LAWTP). A non-profit organization that is committed to increasing opportunities for women in the performing arts, the LAWTP recently received new sponsorship from seven local, prominent Los Angeles-based medical professionals.

The doctors who have offered sponsorship to the LAWTP are highly regarded specialists of Southern California, including: board certified Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Stuart A. Linder, Beverly Hills cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Robert Rey, board certified Beverly Hills facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Jason B. Diamond, board certified Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Gerald Minniti, board certified Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. John Diaz, board certified Beverly Hills and Encino facial plastic surgeon Dr. Sarmela Sunder, and Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist Dr. Kevin B. Sands. This is the first time that the LAWTP has received sponsorship from the medical industry, and Cox is thankful for every medical professional who is helping to back the LAWTP.

According to Cox, the funds received through this sponsorship will be used towards the production of the LAWTP annual “20% New Works Festival, to be held in the fall of 2012. “The LAWTP’s mission is to create and increase opportunities for women in the Performing Arts,” says Cox. “One of the ways that we support our mission is through the production of a 3-day New Works Festival, which presents stage plays, one-person shows, musical performances and comedy, all written and directed by women artists.” Cox continues to say, “This event is vital in presenting creative works to the community that may not have any other venue, given the extremely low production rate of women’s work in the performing arts.”

Therefore, Cox says, the backing and support received from these physicians is an honor and a vital factor to acknowledge. “They are contributing to our community,” she says. “So we will do our best to offer our support in this relationship.” The LAWTP is offering reciprocal support through ongoing promotion of the doctors who have come on board as sponsors for the LAWTP. “In exchange for the sponsorship, we have created a dedicated ‘Health, Beauty Fitness’ page on our website, which will also be linked to our organization’s email newsletter. In addition, Cox says, the doctors will be promoted at the “20% New Works Festival” as contributing sponsors of the event. “This will include all of the physicians that are current sponsors, as well as any that may join us through out the year,” she says.

Founded by playwright Dee Jae Cox and executive producer/songwriter Michele Weiss in 2007, the LAWTP is run by a small group of women, all who are committed to educating, supporting, promoting, and producing live performance projects that are both of interest and benefit to women. According to Cox, “Based on national studies and statistics, only 20 percent of working professionals in theatre are women,” a number that encourages and drives the LAWTP to play a major role in diversifying the performing arts and representing women on a broader scale.

Known to be the only non-profit organization specifically dedicated to promoting opportunities for women in the performing arts, the LAWTP gives “a voice to female writers, directors, and technicians in LA” through education, community outreach, and theatrical productions, says Cox.

All of the medical sponsors, including Dr. Linder, Dr. Rey, Dr. Diamond, Dr. Minniti, Dr. Diaz, Dr. Sunder, and Dr. Sands, are proud to contribute to the LAWTP and its mission in supporting women in performance projects. As affiliates of several professional associations and societies, their new, joined interest in sponsoring the LAWTP attests to their collective concern in providing support where needed.

For advertising, sponsorship, and campaign information, and/or to sign up for the LAWTP newsletter, please visit http://www.LaWomensTheatreProject.org. The LAWTP is now accepting donations for the “$20 for 20% Campaign.”
